Why This Course?

The objective of the UKAP Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management & Business Law at UKAP, you’ll learn about the preparation, presentation and interpretation of financial information that enables investors, lenders, management, employees, government and others to make effective decisions.

    

You’ll also learn how to read and interpret accounting information in the annual reports of businesses and the financial information within the public sector, and become familiar with the principles and practice of presenting information to those who manage all types of organisations.

   

Accounting at UKAP is fully accredited by Higher Learning Commission of UK  and DETC accrediting body in the majority of study combinations, as well as offering possible exemptions to other professional bodies, eg Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

  

In business law, you’ll study commercial law and business legal regulations. These include company law, competition law and human rights law.

   

Business law can only be studied as a second subject as a joint Honours option.

  

Equivalence

UKAP qualifications at RQF Level 5 represent practical knowledge, skills, capabilities and competences that are assessed in academic terms as being equivalent to Foundation Degrees, Higher National Diploma (HND) and Year 2 of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree.

Entry Requirements

  • For entry onto the UKAP Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management & Business Law qualification, learners must possess:

    • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 4 Diploma or equivalent
    • Mature learners (over 21) with management experience (learners must check with the delivery centre regarding this experience prior to registering for the programme)
    • Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course

Successful completion of Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management & Business Law provides learners the opportunity for a wide range of academic progressions including UKAP Level 6 Diploma in Human Resource Management & Business Law . As this qualification is approved and regulated by Ofqual (Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulation), learners are eligible to gain direct entry into Final year of a three-year UK Bachelor’s degree programme. 

All units within this qualification are internally assessed by the centre and externally verified by UKAP. The qualifications are criterion referenced, based on the achievement of all the specified learning outcomes.

To achieve a ‘pass’ for a unit, learners must provide evidence to demonstrate that they have fulfilled all the learning outcomes and meet the standards specified by all assessment criteria. Judgement that the learners have successfully fulfilled the assessment criteria is made by the Assessor.

The Assessor should provide an audit trail showing how the judgement of the learners’ overall achievement has been arrived at.
