The Level 7 Diploma in Business Management (QCF) qualification is designed for you, if you are a graduate or experienced manager who wishes to further develop your career in management.


You will be exposed to a wide range of contemporary issues, which will enable you to develop your critical, analytical and technical skills needed for senior management positions. The qualification will also develop your academic skills, which are required for further study at postgraduate level.



The content of Level 7 Diploma in Business Management

The qualification will give you a theoretical understanding of management concepts and an overview of the general business. It will equip you to find employment with senior management prospects in general business or to continue your professional or academic studies in a related area.



Entry Requirements


·       For entry onto the UKAP Level 7 you need a UK Degree or Overseas equivalent

·       Learners who have passed any UKAP Level 6 Diploma (QCF) or Advanced Diploma (NQF) are eligible to take this qualification.

· Other levels 6 qualifications from another internationally recognised awarding body or approved Overseas Institutes of Higher Education.

·       Five years senior management experience.




English requirements:


If the learner is not from a majority English-speaking country, they must provide evidence of English language competency at a minimum of CEFR (The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level B1 from a recognised English test provider or IELTS level 4.0 in each component.

Qualification Structure

 UKAP Level 7 Diploma in Business Management consists of the following 8 mandatory units that provide a total of 120 credits:

Duration and Delivery

This is a 1-year full-time programme comprising of 8 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. Each year commences in late September or in some cases, early October and runs for a period of 32 weeks. Students may enrol up to 2 weeks before the course starting date however early enrolment is advised as places are limited.

 The qualification is delivered face-to-face, through lectures, tutorials, seminars, and distance, online by approved centres only.


Assessment and Verification

·       Reformulate and use practical, conceptual or technological understanding to create ways forward in contexts where there are many interacting factors

·       Critically analyses, interpret and evaluate complex information, concepts and theories to produce modified conceptions

·       Understand the wider contexts in which the area of study is located

·       Understand current developments in the area of study

·       Understand different theoretical and methodological perspectives and how they affect the area of study



 The qualification is designed to allow entry to and/or enhance progression in a wide range of management roles in the public, private or charitable sectors. UKAP qualification currently has articulations in place for entry onto MBA and other master's level qualifications with a number of universities.
